Building Industry Getting a Makeover
The building and construction industry is undergoing a whole new look, and it’s a smart move.
Gone are the days of very literal branding and marketing, a heavily industrial and ‘tradie’ aesthetic to communicate the services they provide.
Now we are seeing a polished, upmarket and approachable look, since these businesses now engage creative service providers instead of leaving their marketing to the local sign guy.
Likewise for the properties being built. Remember when apartment blocks would go up without their own website, alluring name and high-end signage wrapped around the foundations during the build?
While this industry has only flourished with the unstoppable development underway in our country, competition has become fierce and the mesh banner out the front of a building site is now the golden opportunity to sell the authority and clout of your business.
A familiar story within our client base…builders and developers who have made their own success eventually reach a point where they recognise that their website, branding, signage, socials etc have been left behind while they were busy on the tools doing what they do best.
The decision to reach out to us for help usually coincides with events like moving into a new space, expanding the team, tendering for a big job, being approached by a publication or celebrating an anniversary, like 20 years in business. Trade secret: many builders have come to us expressing envy over their competition’s re-brand and want to level up with our help.
Does this sound like your business in the construction sector? :
• Your website is less about lead-generation and more about online brand presence.
• You do want to showcase your projects and need someone to curate your archives of photography or chase down new shots.
• You need us to display this work for you in a thoughtful manner on a clean and minimal website.
• The whole team needs new headshots.
• You have ISO accreditations and policies that need to be included on your new site.
• You all use a pdf document called a Capability Statement which you use when tendering. We re-design these and the before and afters are something to behold!
• You often don’t know where your domains are and have lost touch with your original web developer.
